Kanye West has announced that he plans to drop his previously unreleased album Yandhi.

Originally planned for release in 2018, West later turned the project into his gospel inspired album Jesus is King though various Yandhi leaks have made their way onto the internet over the years.

Other tracks, such as “Hurricane” and “We Got Love” were also repurposed for other projects while “New Body” was supposed to feature on Vultures but Nicki Minaj refused to clear her verse.

However, West’s livestream from Spain has revealed that he still plans on putting the album out.

He said:  “We gotta release Yandhi.”

The move to release the previously abandoned project would follow West officially dropping DONDA 2 on streaming platforms for the first time earlier this week.

The project originally arrived in February 2022 but West shunned a traditional release and fans could only listen to the album if they bought a Stem Player.

It is also notable that the album has not been released through West’s own Spotify page but instead through yet another new profile simply titled DONDA.

The album largely remains the same from the version that could be heard on the Stem Player however there are some notable differences.

West’s controversial collaboration with The Game titled “Eazy” has been axed completely from the album while there is a new joint with Future on the project called “Mr Miyagi”, which also features vocals from Playboi Carti.

“530” also appeared on Ty Dolla $ign joint project Vultures 2 in a relatively unfinished state but the song has been tidied up by West for DONDA 2.

The album also features an Akademiks rant from his livestream where he rails against Kim Kardashian for allegedly keeping West from seeing his children.

Kardashian’s voice also remains on the project despite the very public issues between the former couple.

She can be heard on “Scifi” where she says: “I married the best rapper of all time. Not only that, he is the richest Black man in America. A talented, legit genius who gave me four incredible kids.”
