Iman Shumpert was thirsting over estranged wife Teyana Taylor‘s red carpet look at the 2024 Met Gala despite the messy split they’re currently embroiled in.

Going down on Monday (May 6), this even this year was themed “The Garden of Time” in celebration of the Costume Institute’s spring exhibition, “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.” Perfectly in tune with the prompt, Teyana sported a bed head-inspired blonde braid and a red dress adorned with flowers.

As photos and videos of her arrival made their way online, Iman took to X  (formerly Twitter) with a subliminal message that had a very clear recipient.

“Yeah you ate…but I ain’t tellin you that shit,” he wrote.

When a fan pressed him to “keep it 100,” the former basketball player added: “lol it was a cute way to say she kilt it. But people don’t laugh enough in life.”

Teyana Taylor filed for divorce in January 2023, long before the former couple announced their separation in September.

In the divorce filing, Taylor also asked for primary custody of their children as well as joint legal custody and child support, and accused Shumpert of “treating her cruelly and displaying extreme narcissistic behavior throughout the majority of their marriage.”

She also accused the former New York Knicks player of “being extremely emotionally and mentally abusive towards her,” adding that he could be prone to exhibiting “cruel behavior and selfishness.”

Her filing also claims Shumpert cheated on her multiple times during their relationship, contrary to her previous statement that “infidelity ain’t one of the reasons for our departure.”

Taylor’s petition for divorce also includes details such as Shumpert crashing her Rolls-Royce and fleeing the scene to avoid arrest, displaying jealous behavior whenever she was in the spotlight, and asking her not to work.

In his response, Iman Shumpert denied the claims and said that Teyana lacked proof of her assertions.

He is petitioning the court to have their reason for divorce changed to “irretrievable broken bond,” according to TMZ.
