Drake has exchanged words with Canadian politician Jagmeet Singh over his decision to attend Kendrick Lamar‘s concert in Toronto.

The former New Democratic Party leader was pictured at Kendrick’s concert, his first in Drake’s hometown since the eruption of their feud last year.

In response, Drake DM’d Singh on Instagram, calling him a “goof” and then posted the message on his Instagram Stories.

Singh would then quickly apologize for going to the concert in the first place.

He wrote: “I went for SZA, not Kendrick. I was born in this city. I love this city. But real talk, I get it, I shouldn’t have gone at all. OVO and Drake have lifted up this city and [Canadian flag emoji]. For me, it’ll always be Drake over Kendrick.”

Drake did not appear to be in a forgiving mood and unfollowed Singh on social media.

Kendrick performed two concerts in Toronto in recent days, flanked by SZA.

Taking his and SZA‘s Grand Central Tour to the Canadian city for the first of two nights, last Thursday Kendrick did not save any special treatment for Drake nor make any changes to his set.

K. Dot performed now infamous diss track “Not Like Us” to a rapturous reception inside the Rogers Centre with fans vocally chanting for an encore by the end of the lengthy show.

Drake was originally counter programming the concert with a Kai Cenat livestream but the duo pulled out at the last minute and pushed the event back.

Cenat revealed only the day before the highly anticipated concert that Drake was going to be joining him on his popular Twitch stream to give away hundreds of thousands of dollars as part of their “Somebody Loves Me” music video challenge.

20 winners of the challenge will receive $15,000 dollars each to help bring their ideas for the video to life.

The livestream was due to take place at exactly the time Lamar would be performing in Toronto.

Drake and Cenat previously invited fans to submit clips that are between 30 seconds and one minute in length that serve as a treatment for a music video for “Somebody Loves Me”.

The ultimately released video will be made up of various fan-directed clips and edited together.
