Cam’ron has come to Shannon Sharpe‘s defense amid the $50 million lawsuit the sportscaster is facing for allegedly raping and threatening a 19-year-old during their relationship.

On Monday (April 21), the young woman filed suit against Sharpe with the infamous Tony Buzbee as her lawyer. She alleges Sharpe raped her twice in October 2024 and again in January 2025. It also accuses Sharpe of repeatedly recording the two having sex without her knowledge or consent. He denies the allegations and said it was a consensual relationship.

On the latest episode of his sports talk show It Is What It Is, Cam pointed out the reasons he feels this is a matter of extortion and not a real sexual assault situation. He also gave Sharpe tips on how to spot the extortion in real time.

“I hope that Disney do keep him. I’m rooting for him because I do believe this is a shakedown,” Cam concluded, “but when you start getting video evidence and audio evidence and text messages, that’s crazy.”

Cam’ron also mentioned a previous sextape of 56-year-old Shannon Sharpe that leaked in the fall, noting that someone like Stephen A. Smith has been too wise to have these things happen to him.

Sharpe went viral in September when he recorded himself having sex with a woman on Instagram Live, seemingly by mistake. And of course Cam had something to say then as well.

After initially poking fun at Sharpe on Instagram, Killa doubled down on by posting an explicit video of his own in which he pretends to have sex while driving.

In the staged clip, the Dipset rapper can be heard off-camera receiving oral sex from a woman as he sits behind the wheel, telling her to “suck it” and “watch your teeth, bitch.”

He even looks behind him and glances at his phone, which is on the floor in the backseat behind him, mocking Sharpe’s claim that he was unaware that his Instagram Live was turned on when he was having sex.

The ridiculousness ramps up when Cam’ron tells the woman to “get on top while I drive,” with the pair pretending to have full-on sex while Cam continues to operate the vehicle.

He further poked fun at Sharpe in his Instagram caption, writing: “My bad I was hacked y’all [crying face emojis].”

After the Instagram Live debacle, Shannon Sharpe initially claimed that his account had been “hacked” and that he and his team were “working vigorously to figure this out.”

But during an emergency episode of his Nightcap show with Chad Ochocinco hours later, Sharpe U-turned by admitting that the footage was real and that he was “embarrassed” and “disappointed” by the mishap.

“This was not staged. I came in, threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity. I’ve never been on IG Live so I don’t know how it works,” he explained.

The Club Shay Shay host later said: “My phone wasn’t hacked, it wasn’t a prank; it was me being a healthy, active male. I mean, y’all thought I was bulljiving. Unc get it in, real talk!”

Cam’ron was unconvinced by Sharpe’s explanation, though, and disputed his comments while discussing the drama on his sports talk show It Is What It Is.

“That n-gga capping. That shit was on purpose. You can’t go live without pushing like four or five buttons,” he said. “To me, he didn’t go viral in a little minute.”
