Uncle Luke was honored with the I Am Hip Hop Award at the 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards, which aired on Tuesday (October 10). After giving an impassioned speech, the southern rap pioneer hit the stage to perform a medley of his hits.

Trina, Trick Daddy and Flo Rida helped out Luke during performances of “Scarred,” “It’s Your Birthday” and 2 Live Crew’s “Me So Horny.” At the end, Rick Ross joined the Miami Hip Hop celebration to do his verse from French Montana’s “Pop That.” The single samples Luke’s “I Wanna Rock,” so it was a full circle moment for everyone involved.
