Reminiscent of Portishead, Torii Wolf has built her career on a foundation of emotive music. Her latest single, “Free” featuring Macklemore and DJ Premier, is no exception. The song comes ahead of her forthcoming debut album, FLOW RiiOT, which is expected to arrive on September 29 via Preemo’s TTT (To The Top) label.
As described in the press release, “Free” tackles the battle we face every day to be our authentic selves. It also serves as a reminder that our freedom comes from within and only we have the key to how “free” we really are.
Mack serves as the sole feature on the album, allowing Wolf’s sultry lyrics to take centerstage. While Preemo produced the majority of the 15 tracks, King Of Chill, araabMUZIK and Mike Zombiealso contribute to the cause.
