Young Thug is gearing up to release Uy Scuti, his first album since being released from jail last year, and has employed some unusual marketing tactics.
Uy Scuti is currently scheduled to drop later this month so Thugger is stepping up the rollout.
Ahead of the release, select members of the press have been sent packages which when opened reveal a live spider.
The packages also include the message: âTake care of me until we reach UY SCUTI.â

No exact date for Uy Scuti has yet been revealed by Thugger, only that it will release this month.

He has also only dropped the one single âMoney on Moneyâ featuring Future.
While the track is a bombastic return to the Atlanta starâs best, it is most notable for some lines that appear to be aimed at his former friend and his decision to take an Alford plea during YSLâs long-running and controversial RICO trial.
On the songâs hook, Thug raps:Â âThese fuck n-ggas tellinâ for nothinâ, and I gotta be the one callinâ âem friends.â
He later spits:Â âBrother, you a rat (My brother).â

Thugger also reiterated the accusation in a subsequent verse:Â âTwin, you a rat, you smoked, uh.â
In an interview with GQ, Thug refused to clarify his relationship with his YSL cohort who has faced accusations of snitching ever since he agreed to a plea deal.
Asked about the current status of their relationship, Thug replied: âI know everybody wonders [what our relationship is like now]. I donât know.â

Gunna has always denied snitching on Young Thug but it is not the first time his label boss has appeared to label him a rat.
On a snippet of a track he posted on his Instagram, Thug could be heard rapping:Â âNever associate with a rat/ Go and get some money, get a pack.â
In a new snippet from a song that will potentially feature on the album, Thug references his relationship with Mariah The Scientist.
Inside of a bathtub with no water, Thug played a clip for his followers on Instagram Live.
