Xzibit has been hit with a temporary restraining order after allegedly threatening to kill a former employee if he were to help the rapper’s ex amid their ongoing divorce battle.

According to In Touch Weekly, Julio Garcia filed a petition for a restraining order on February 25, requesting X stay 100 yards away from him, his wife, his daughter and Krista Joiner – who is the rapper’s estranged wife. Garcia now works exclusively for her, but he reportedly worked for X as recently as last year and washed his cars.

In his petition, Garcia alleged that Xzibit threatened to kill him if he testified and revealed what he learned while working for the rapper, including details about his vehicles, residence and warehouse operations. Garcia also claimed Xzibit pressured him to withhold information from Krista in exchange for being paid for his work.

“I am a hardworking man and cannot give away thousands of dollars of service for free,” he wrote in the docs. “[Xzibit] told me he would pay me in cash, but only if I gave him the videos of the woman lawyer and if I did not cooperate in giving information to Krista about him that I learned while I was working for him.

“When I said that I did not see any reason that I should help [Xzibit]. [Xzibit] told me that if I talked to Krista and gave her information, ‘I will kill you.’”

Meanwhile, Xzibit accused Krista of coercing witnesses, though it’s unclear if he was referring to Julio.

A hearing is scheduled for March 19 to determine if the order will be made permanent.

Krista Joiner filed to modify her existing spousal support agreement with Xzibit last month, claiming she can no longer pay her bills or take weekend trips, and that her ex would “rather spend his money on his girlfriend’s luxury car” instead of paying for their 12-year-old son’s private school tuition. She also claims X hasn’t even seen their son since September.

She also alleges violence in her filing, accusing X of slamming their son’s head on the table for having memes of the rapper’s girlfriend on his phone.

Joiner is looking to increase her child support to just over $9k a month, while she wants her spousal support to be increased to just over $21k a month. She also wants $300k in attorney fees, and is requesting a finding that Xzibit owes her over $750k in missed payments.

In her filing, Joiner noted that her previous support order was based on the Pimp My Ride star making around $25k per month, but she now believes he actually makes a minimum of $134k a month.

Krista filed for divorce from Xzibit — born Alvin Nathaniel Joiner — in 2021 after roughly six years of marriage and 20 years together in total. The former couple had been together since 2001 and had two kids together but one tragically passed away 11 days after birth.
