Tyga has a lot of hits under his belt, but he’s now being roasted by fans for sharing a snippet of a new song that seems to tip its hat to Vanilla Ice.
In a video clip originally shared to social media on Wednesday (June 14), the “Rack City” rapper played the opening bars of what he claimed to be an upcoming new song featuring Nicki Minaj and Ice Spice.

But many fans noted that the track samples “Ice Ice Baby,” which was released in 1990 and itself features a sample of Queen and David Bowie’s classic 1981 rock track, “Under Pressure.”
Take a listen to the snippet below:
Fans weren’t exactly keen on Tyga’s take on the remake of the remake, with many taking aim at the “terrible” track. “Get that shit outta here,” someone wrote, while another proclaimed: “This is terrible.”
A third person managed to make Eminem catch some strays while roasting Tyga in the process. “I was thinking that Eminem would use it. I was wrong,” they wrote.

While Tyga certainly isn’t feeling the love for the proposed Vanilla Ice-inspired track, fans may be a little more excited about the prospect of his upcoming joint project with Blink-182 drummer (and Kourtney Kardashian’s husband) Travis Barker.
According to a TMZ report on Monday (June 12), Tyga has been seen going to Barker’s Calabasas studio quite frequently as of late. The pair are said to be putting together an EP that they plan to drop “in the coming months.”
The connection isn’t totally random, as they’ve teamed up for music in the past. They’ve also both been a part of the Kardashian/Jenner crew — just not at the same time.
Tyga is also gearing up to release a joint project with YG, which the pair revealed at Rolling Loud Los Angeles in March.

Prior to the performance of the pair’s 2019 hit, “Go Loko,” Tyga made the announcement about the upcoming project.
“So it’s crazy because last year, or like a year or two ago, we was working on the album, but the shit was going so crazy that we only came up with one song,” Tyga said, with YG in agreement. “But now we about to drop the new album, coming soon you feel me.”
