Kendrick Lamar has reportedly been spotted heading into a New York based recording studio.

With the Compton rapper currently on tour with SZA, Lamar was spotted by paparazzi entering a studio in the West Village area.

It is not known what Lamar may be recording by a deluxe edition of GNX was previously teased by “TV Off” collaborator Lefty Gunplay.

Speaking to Bootleg Kev, Gunplay said: “I know he’s got a deluxe version coming out. He’s very secretive.”

Though Lamar may be moving on to new music, GNX continues to dominate the charts despite being released last November.

His SZA collaboration “Luther” has now been number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for a record equalling eleven weeks.

“Luther” is now tied with Diddy and Faith Evans’ “I’ll Be Missing You” for the most weeks spent at No. 1 among duets by co-billed lead solo men and women.

GNX itself is also still at third place on the Billboard 200.

Lamar has also been capitalizing on the success of GNX by moving into other areas such as fashion, linking up with Chanel.

The Compton rap star, who has previously collaborated with the likes of Louis Vuitton, Nike and Converse, has been announced as the face of the luxury fashion house’s eyewear division.

In a statement ahead of the campaign’s rollout, Kendrick said: “Chanel has a timeless legacy and that is always something I can get behind. Since they don’t make clothes for men, I knew it would have to be glasses,” per The Business of Fashion.

Chanel fashion president Bruno Pavlovsky added: “We strongly believe in eyewear and its potential. More than a simple fashion accessory, eyewear is part of the Chanel allure and is regularly seen on the runway. Its versatile style, playing with the house codes, brings a finishing touch to the silhouette.

The Grammy-winner’s relationship with Chanel dates back to 2023 when he attended the Met Gala wearing a custom Chanel bomber jacket. The following year, the label recruited Lamar and his longtime collaborator Dave Free to create a short film for their 2024 spring/summer show.

Lamar is also working on a movie with South Park creators Trey Stone and Matt Parker.
