Nicki Minaj is wondering why her remix of Lil Uzi Vert’s “The Way Life Goes” hasn’t been released. The Harajuku Barbie responded to a Twitter user’s inquiry about the track, revealing that it’s finished but being held back by someone.
“Been done!!!” she wrote on Friday night (October 20). “but apparently someone somewhere wants to hold back on putting it out right now. It’s not me & it’s not Uzi tho. Tea anyone?”

Minaj wasn’t shy about jumping on the remix of the single. Back in August, she publicly announced her desire to add something to the song in an Instagram post.

The original version of Uzi’s “The Way Life Goes,” which appears on his Luv Is Rage 2 album, has spent seven weeks on the Billboard Hot 100. The song peaked at #39 in September.
