Eminem reportedly kept JID‘s widely acclaimed verse on “Fuel” in the vault for around three years.
Released last year on The Death of Slim Shady, JID claimed that he actually sent the rap legend his verse in 2021.
Replying to a fan on X, in a since deleted post, the Dreamville rapper said he laid the verse “Years before it dropped, whatever year Kellen Mond got drafted.”
Former Texas A&M quarterback Mond was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in 2021 and is referenced by JID on the record.
