Rhymesayers Entertainment is doing more than gearing up for the release of Atmosphere‘s latest album, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold. The record label is also getting ready for summer. In an attempt to provide the Mid-West with a kick off to summer jam, Rhymesayers and Rose are teaming up to present Soundset 2008 in Minneapolis, MN on May 25th.

Atmosphere, Dilated Peoples, Little Brother, Aesop Rock w/ Rob Sonic and DJ Big Wiz, DJ Babu, Rhettmatic, J-Rocc of the World Famous Beat Junkies, Brother Ali, Eyedea & Abilities, P.O.S., Blueprint, Mac Lethal, Abstract Rude, I Self Devine, Musab, Psalm One, Grayskul, and Los Nativos are already confirmed to play at the event.

The Sounset event had its start in 2007. Back then, it was much smaller with the event held at a warehouse. The following year, it grew a bit. From then, more and more people began to take notice of the midwest scene and the event itself. Now, the line up has gotten even more stacked with Little Brother, Dilated Peoples and Atmosphere all on the same bill, with Atmos headlining this show.

According to the RSE site, fans can purchase tickets before anyone else. “The Soundset Special 3-Day Fan Pre-Sale (4.09 – 4.11) begins Wednesday, April 9, 2008 at 11:00AM local time,” the site said in an announcement. “Tickets go on sale to the general public on Saturday April 12th at 1:00PM through Ticketmaster. Tickets are $25.”

The rest of the country can find Atmosphere and Brother Ali on the Three the Hard Way Tour which begins in June.

Atmos‘ latest LP, When Life Gives You Lemons, You Paint That Shit Gold is set to hit stores April 22. The lead single “Shoulda Known” is already out.
