HipHopDX Premiere: Twice a year, the Higher Art KC Hip Hop collective gets together to record a cypher, with all the proceeds going to charity. This time, they’re back with a visual for the third installment of the series, “Higher Art Cypher Pt. 3.” Notable MCs include KOTD battler A. Ward, owner of Melanin Connoisseur and community activist Sauce, and Rece Nickelz, the CEO of Amped Entertainment, who rap along with seven other talented lyricists.
Produced by B. Shock, the song is over eight-and-a-half minutes of tongue-twisting lyrical acrobatics and puts each MC’s rap skills in the spotlight. All funds raised are being donated to Steps of Faith Foundation, a non-profit public charity dedicated to providing prosthetic care, hope and comfort to amputees needing financial support.
