HipHopDX Premiere: Raised in East Atlanta in a broken home ripped apart by addiction, Angelo Dorsey found solace in not only music, but also football. As a star quarterback in high school, Dorsey had dreams of football glory, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. After eventually relocating to Houston, he met some of the key players in the music scene and got to work. His most recent offering is a video for “Stay,” which appears to be set in the 1940s “Great Gatsby” era. As he seduces a mystery woman dressed in red, it becomes clear he simply wants her to “stay.”
Dorsey has spent the first few months of 2017 touring extensively with Chedda Da Connect, who has taken the aspiring artist under his wings. Armed with a vast collection of new material, Dorsey plans on releasing new singles throughout 2017 with a promise to make the “Rockstar R&B” artist a household name. Watch his video above.
