As part of VICELAND’s six-part music documentary series, Noisey, the crew takes it to the Bay Area to interview artists like E-40, Nef The Pharaoh and G-Eazy. During the 44-minute episode, simply titled Bay Area, a team of Bay Area police officers swoop down on a crowd of black kids, including Nef and the reporter conducting the interview, and arrest two of his friends on gun charges, bringing light to the tense situation between police and the black community.
The six-part series will also cover music hubs Atlanta, Paris, Seoul, Nashville, and Lagos, Nigeria. The supplementary piece with Lil B, Believe In Earth, was shared on Tuesday (January 10). Watch the full Bay Area episode above.
