The D-Block rapper did the remix of the remix on “Ghost View.” He took Tupac’s “Starin’ Through My Rearview,” which sampled Bill Collins, and payed tribute to the recently fallen rapper Chinx.

The D-Block lyricist says:

“I know sumn’, that I know nothing at all
If you get you a dirty hand start bluffing ’em all
Why? ‘Cause sad niggas show the most joy
Wild niggas show the most poise
Quiet niggas make the most noise
Rest in peace Chinx hold your head to the Coke Boys”

Styles also flipped a 9th Wonder beat with “Ghost Breath.”

“No Kangol, just a Durango to ride in
We just getting high, kicking lingo and vibing
No gun shots or sirens
Rather vacay using sunblock on islands
Can I tan for two weeks straight
And not touch my phone or my briefcase?”

At this point, it’s safe to say Styles P has mastered New York boom bap – rhyming bourgie street raps to the penultimate and ultimate syllables of 8-bar soul sample loops. It would be dope to see him experiment with different styles.
