The robbery charge dates back to August, when Bartlett was arrested for allegedly robbing someone who had “arrived at [Bartlett’s] residence to film a rap video.”

“At that time, the suspect produced a handgun with an extended magazine and demanded that the victim transfer money to an unknown account over a money transfer service,” the LAPD statement about the incident reads. “The victim was in fear and complied. The suspect also demanded the victim empty his pockets.”

Polo G was arrested with his brother that time for possession of a short-barreled rifle.

“The incident surrounded someone staying in Polo’s home and not Polo directly,” the rapper’s attorney Bradford Cohen told XXL at the time. “The officers have detained Polo to ‘verify’ that he is not a convicted felon, as they assert a firearm was found in the home. It is widely known that Polo is not a convicted felon and never was a convicted felon.”

Trench Baby’s witness tampering charge, according to TMZ, stems from an incident in September that involved the same man as the alleged August robbery.

Polo G’s upcoming album Hood Poet, which will include the single “Barely Holdin’ On,” is expected to arrive on August 2, 2024, according to Apple Music.
