The pair first met in 2006 when Bryan Tanaka was hired as a backup dancer for Mariah Carey’s tour, but didn’t begin dating until a decade later.

Carey and Tanaka first sparked breakup rumors when Tanaka, who is typically by her side for the holiday season, was nowhere to be found during her most recent holiday tour, according to People.

While People couldn’t confirm the split at the time, they received word from a source that the “All I Want For Christmas Is You” singer is spending Christmas in Aspen, Colorado without Tanaka.

The couple has been together for the holidays every year since they began dating in 2016, and fans’ eyebrows were raised with him not around this year.
