Lil Durk has shared an embarrassing story involving a Rolls-Royce, his girlfriend India Royale and a missing lock button.

The Chicago rapper recently appeared on Nick Cannon’sBig Drive show on Tubi where he recalled the time he accidentally locked himself in the luxury vehicle while trying to set up an intimate moment his longtime partner.

“We in the Cullinan, I popped out for my girl, my wife. I’m like, ‘Okay, shut the door time,'” he remembered with a laugh. “So I leaned over to grab the door, but it locked. She [India] come knock on the window … I’m like, ‘I don’t even know how to unlock the door!’

“I’m trying to find it. I’m like, ‘Aww shit!’ I played it off while trying to look for the button. I couldn’t find that button!”

Durk then explained that he had to call for help to get out of the jam.

“Before I let her in, I had to make some phone calls. ‘Cause this is the new one,” he added. “Whole time I’m lying [to India]. This is the new one; they switched up the button.”

Though Lil Durk referred to India Royale as his wife in the clip, it was only last year that she turned down his Valentine’s Day gesture.

“Happy Valentine’s Day to the woman that made me a man. I love you @indiaroyale,” the OFT frontman wrote on social media alongside a photo of his baby mother, soundtracked by Future’s “I Won.”

Shortly after, India seemingly responded in a series of X (then Twitter) posts — and she was none too pleased.

“People really do not respect boundaries at all,” she wrote. “I try my best to be respectful and not put on a show but people don’t respect my choices. Let it go.”

It appears the couple have since reconciled.
