Kid Cudi has enjoyed a great deal of success in the entertainment space not just as an actor and musician but also as a film producer, and his next silver-screen project is right around the corner.

On Monday (April 8), the Ohio native unveiled the trailer for MaXXXine, which will be the third and final installment of a slasher-horror trilogy starring Mia Goth in the lead role. Directed by Ti West, the first two films X and Pearl were both released in 2022 in collaboration with Cudder’s Mad Solar production company.

When the first two movies of the trilogy were released, Cudi received some pretty high praise from legendary director Martin Scorsese for his work.

The Cleveland superstar received one of the the highest stamps of approval in cinema back in 2022 when the Goodfellas filmmaker praised Pearl, which the “Mr. Rager” hitmaker co-produced in collaboration with LeBron James‘ BRON Creative and A24.

“I was enthralled, then disturbed, then so unsettled that I had trouble getting to sleep. But I couldn’t stop watching,” the New York City native said of the gruesome flick during an interview. “Ti West’s movies have a kind of energy that is so rare these days, powered by a pure, undiluted love for cinema.”

Cudi was mind-blown upon hearing about the above compliment as he subsequently tweeted: “This blows my mind. Martin Scorsese loves a movie I produced. Wow. Mad Solar, we here now.”
