Kanye West has confirmed the release date for his long-awaited Vultures 2 album with Ty Dolla $ign, which has already gone through numerous delays.

During his interview on Justin LaBoy’s The Download podcast, which dropped on Monday (April 22), Ye revealed that the project will be dropping on May 3.

This lines up with the date he previously leaked to a Baby Keem fan page last month, when he mistakenly thought the account was the rapper’s actual profile.

The follow-up to February’s Vultures 1 was originally supposed to be released on March 8, with the third installment set to drop on April 5. It’s currently unclear when the latter will now drop.

Details about Vultures 2 are slim, but the album could be another star-studded affair as Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign played a slew of songs featuring big-name artists at listening events in Miami and Las Vegas last year.

The unreleased material included collaborations with Young Thug, Kid Cudi, Lil Wayne, Kodak Black, Lil Baby, Bad Bunny and Charlie Wilson, among others.

In March, Ye and Ty released several songs from the project, but through unconventional means. Those expecting to find the songs on streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music were disappointed as multiple tracks from the record were shared on TikTok and Instagram instead.

As pointed out by several fan accounts, “River” featuring Young Thug and Leon Bridges as well as the Backstreet Boys-sampling “Everybody” were available to stream on the social media platforms, and could even be added as tracks to posts.

Other songs from Vultures 2 were also available, including “Worship,” “Promotion” featuring Future, the James Blake-assisted “Slide” and “Field Trip,” which is said to feature Playboi Carti, Kodak Black, Lil Durk and Don Toliver.

While the songs’ availability suggested they were officially released by the duo, the Ye Fanatics account claimed that they are simply low-quality rips uploaded by fans.

“The songs from Vultures 2 that were released yesterday are from a fan group,” the account shared on Twitter. “The audios are distorted and sound bad. A Vultures producer contacted me today to clarify this. We hope to see a change in the next few hours or we will have to wait a little longer for the album to be available.”

Vultures 1was released on in early February after several delays and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart with almost 150,000 album-equivalent units to its name in the first week.
