New York, NY

If you thought the feud between Lil Yachty and Joe Budden was over, you were sorely mistaken. The two sides exchanged words once again following a discussion about Hip Hop stars on the latest episode of Complex’s Everyday Struggle.

Budden, DJ Akademiks and guest Joey Bada$$ argued about the stardom of Playboi Carti, which transitioned to a conversation focusing on Yachty. Joey insisted that Lil Boat’s appearances in Sprite and Target commercials are clear proof of his star status. Budden pushed back by noting the disappointing sales of Yachty’s debut album Teenage Emotions.

“You’re not a mega star when you sell 40,000 records,” Budden said.

Budden’s words clearly struck a nerve with Yachty, who fired back at the Slaughterhouse member on Instagram. The polarizing artist mocked the sales of Budden’s 2016 album Rage & The Machine.

“lol don’t talk to me about album sales sir @joebudden,” Yachty wrote.

Quality Control Music CEO Pierre “Pee” Thomas also criticized Budden while boasting about how much money Yachty has earned. The music executive claimed Yachty’s appearance on Everyday Struggle was the reason the show became popular in the first place.

“Lil Yachty Made 13 Million Dollars In 16 Months,” Thomas wrote. “Who Give A Fuck Bout You Niggas Opinion? I’m Convinced Now Hating In You Niggas Blood. Let’s Have A Contract And Bank Statement Challenge. That’s All We Care About Over Here @joebudden @akadmiks I Bet Y’all Niggas Shit Ain’t Ain’t Gone Add Up.
