It’s been tallied up. Kendrick Lamar sold just over 600,000 equivalent album units of DAMN. within the first week of its release, landing him at #1 on Billboard 200 and beating out Drake’s first week More Life numbers for the biggest debut of 2017. On Sunday (April 30), Billboard announcedDAMN.‘s sales dropped 61% in its second week, selling 238,000 equivalent album units, which was still enough for another week in the #1 spot.

The project is currently sitting at a 95 Metacritic score (DX gave it a 4.9/5) and K.Dot’s mama is loving it. He shared a screenshot from his mom bigging up the album complete with emojis and all, like a proud mama would.

While Birdman is seemingly holding on to Weezy for dear life, it’s no secret Tunechi is over it and wants out. He later clarified the shoutout to Skip Bayless of FS1’s Undisputed.

“Jay’s a good guy, man,” Wayne said. “It was nothing but a simple thing, just friend to friend, ‘I just wanna help you.’ Simply, that’s all it was. ‘I just wanna help you, man, in any way I can.’ Right now, he’s just gonna help me in any way he can. That’s just what it is.”

Elsewhere, Wayne stopped a show after a concertgoer threw a drink at him while he was performing.

Kodak Black Found Guilty

Kodak Black thought it was all good when he traveled to a strip club and a boxing match, purportedly for work-related reasons. The court felt those trips violated his probation and now, he’s facing up to eight years after being found guilty. Kodak had also been accused of attacking a bartender at the strip club, but he was found not guilty for it.
