King Magnetic has released his Everything Happens 4 a Reason album, premiering through HipHopDX.
The project — a combination of his Everything’s a Gamble mixtape series and his debut album, Timing is Everything — is made up of 14 lyrically-laced tracks over powerful production from Khrysis, AMP, Viktor Ax and 9th Wonder.
On working with the Jamla and Soul Council leader, King Mag had this to say, “He’s a really smart guy and laid back with it. I’ve definitely learned from being around him, and you already know you’re getting something soulful from him or his team!”

Guest appearances on Everything Happens 4 a Reason come from R.A. the Rugged Man, 3T3N, Recognize Ali, DJ Express, Dink, and his tourmate Cappadonna. Masta Ace and Slug appear on “Alone,” with Mag calling them “really good people.”
While King Magnetic addresses plenty of topics on Everything Happens 4 a Reason from fatherhood, his own journey getting in trouble with the law and now being an established underground vet, one line on “Crackin'” stands out to anyone who follows Hip Hop headlines.

The new generation of rappers has gotten a lot of flak for various reasons, from the “mumble rap” style to not paying homage to the legends. King Mag explains his view on artists like Lil Yachty and Lil Uzi Vert in the overall Hip Hop landscape.
“There’s room for a lot of different styles and topics in Hip Hop, always has been,” he shares. “Some of these guys are just horrible and mega dumbed down though. Plus sometimes people don’t hear you until you speak with your hands or a weapon. There’s some really dope music being made, you just got to find it and support what you appreciate!”
