As the work week gets underway, the Monday (March 20) edition of the DX Digest is packed to the brim with fresh music from Drake and Kanye West, Mike WiLL Made-It and Lil Yachty, and The Alchemist, who blesses listeners with the next installment of Rapper’s Best Friend instrumental series. As if that’s not enough, a colorful Nardwuar interview with Desiigner, video from Oddisee, remix from Dave East (who tackles The Weeknd’s “Party Mon$ter”) and IAMSU! collaboration with Snoop Dogg lead up to an intriguing Khalid remix of “Location” featuring Lil Wayne and Kehlani and a Fetty Wap freestyle. Beastie Boys legend Mike D drums for BADBADNOTGOOD and Indiana’s Mula Kkhan gives us a little taste of what he’s been working on.

drake f. Kanye West – “glow”

After multiple delays, Drake’s long-awaited follow-up to Views, More Life, finally arrived late last week. Kanye West makes an appearance on one of the album standouts, “Glow,” which is just one of the many collaborative tracks on the project. The More Life playlist also includes high profile artists like Travis Scott, Sampha, 2 Chainz, Quavo and PARTYNEXTDOOR. Listen above and make sure to stream More Life here.

Mike will made-it f. lil yachty – “hasselhoff”

As SXSW comes to a close, and industry people and their artists get back to their “regular” lives, featured performer Lil Yachty is most likely taking a moment to unwind, but still manages to stay on the radar with a new track from producer Mike WiLL Made-It. Titled “Hasselhoff,” the track is taken from Mike Will’s upcoming project, Ransom 2, which is expected on March 24.

desiigner – “nardwuar interview”

Canada’s kookiest “journalist” Nardwuar is back with another edition of his video series, but this time he’s talking to Desiigner. Filmed at SXSW, Nardwaur got on the rapper’s good side by immediately handing him a copy of a 1963 Guitar Crusher record, which his grandfather made.

The alchemist – “rapper’s best friend 4 (instrumental Series)”

Prolific producer The Alchemist has returned with another beat tape in his Rapper’s Best Friend series, which is simply titled Rapper’s Best Friend 4. Comprised of 16 tracks, the album boasts instrumental versions of songs like Danny Brown’s “White Lines” and Action Bronson’s “Terry.” Listen to it in full above.

oddisee f. toine – “nnge”

After releasing his critically acclaimed album, The Iceberg, and heading out on a sizable promotional tour, Oddisee pops back up for air with the video for “NNGE” featuring Toine, the Washington D.C. MC’s ode to Black America.

Dave East  – “ParTy Mon$ter (Remix)”

One of Harlem’s finest, Dave East, has offered up his version of The Weeknd’s “Party Mon$ter” with his own “Eastmix.” The song was paired with a vague announcement that read: “#paranoia coming soon!” The forthcoming mixtape will serve as the follow-up to 2016’s Kairi Chanel project.

iamsu! f. snoop dogg – “addy”

Bay Area rapper IAMSU! has been pumping out material religiously lately and is back with another fresh single, “Addy,” featuring Snoop Dogg and his “failing career.” The song comes ahead of Boss Up 2, according to the Soundcloud link.

khalid f. lil wayne & Kehlani- “location (REMIX)”

On the heels of his American Teen album, 18-year-old Khalid has returned with a remix of “Location” featuring Lil Wayne and sultry singer Kehlani, a song he just performed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The performance marked his national television debut.

fetty wap – “pull up wit a stick (Freestyle)”

New Jersey spitter Fetty Wap has dropped off another loosie in the form of a freestyle titled “Pull Up Wit A Stick.” The song is presumably intended to hold fans over until his forthcoming sophomore album arrives. The track follows “Island Boy” and “With You.”

badbadnotgood – “the echo chamber with mike d (Beats 1)”

With BADBADNOTGOOD’s video for “Lavender” featuring Snoop Dogg making headlines, the Canadian collective once again has another high-profile collaboration with Beastie Boys’ MC Mike D. As part of a special five-song session on Mike D’s Beats 1 show The Echo Chamber, they did a performance of Galt MacDermot’s “Coffee Cold” assisted by Mr. Diamond on the drums.

mula kkhan – “20 in the chamber”

Produced by Millz Gold, Mula Khan’s new track, “20 In The Chamber,” features the Indiana-based MC doing his best to represent the city of Indianapolis. The song comes after the release of his most recent project, KKHANO.
