New York, NY -Ā

Conway may be one of Shady Recordsā€™ newest signees along with his brother Westside Gunn, but that doesnā€™t mean heā€™s lost his competitive edge.

In a verse on Statik Selektahā€™sĀ ShowoffĀ on Shade 45 recently, Con reached into his rhymebook and pulled out some lines from his 2015 mixtape track ā€œThe Mobb,ā€ where he calls out some of the most feared battle MCs in the game.

ā€œDonā€™t compare me to these battle rappinā€™ niggas we donā€™t rap alike / Niggas ainā€™t even half as nice / Iā€™ll slap the life outta your favorite rapper twice / Murda Mook in front of T-Rex / Cut Dizaster in half with a plastic knife / The Calicoe Loaded with Clips ripping through parts of you / Gotta hollow for Hollow, but Iā€™m saving it for Arsonal.ā€

DizasterĀ went live on Periscope to respond to the callout, first making fun of the idea of getting cut with a ā€œplastic knifeā€ and then giving a more serious breakdown of Conwayā€™s skills.

ā€œFirst of all, letā€™s get one thing straight. Ainā€™t nobody in the world who can beat [me],ā€ he says. ā€œSecond of all, Conwayā€™s dope. Super nice. He probably can beat Calicoe and Mook. I think he could beat them. As far as me, Hollow, Arsonal and Lux? Uggghhhhh maybe Lux. Me, Hollow and Arsonal? Ughhhhh I dunno Conway. I donā€™t know Doggie!ā€

He gives him some credit for staying competitive and shaking things up, but ultimately doubts theyā€™ll ever meet in the ring.

ā€œI donā€™t think we would ever battle. Iā€™d rather do a collab with cuz but I know heā€™s on his own wave right now,ā€Ā the L.A.-based battler says.

Conā€™s trash talked battle rap as a whole before on Twitter.

Still, he isnā€™t just purely talking trash from outside the ring. Heā€™s actually battled in the modern format before, although the audio in this footage from 2014 is so bad that itā€™s tough to determine exactly how well he did.
