MIami, FL

Diddy was spotted admiring a painting of The Notorious B.I.G. at the Art Basel international art fair in Miami this week, posing for pictures beside the likeness of his old friend.

The painting of Biggie in the crown is a re-imagining of the rapper’s iconic Rolling Stone photoshoot by Barron Claiborne. It was displayed in the Avant Gallery in the Rockwell, and Diddy visited on Wednesday (November 30), according to a TMZ report.

TMZ also reports that the value of the painting is somewhere in the region of $20,000 and that Diddy showed interest in purchasing it but hasn’t bought it yet.

Diddy also posted a video of himself in front of the portrait.

The artist behind the painting, Zeem Rock, is originally from Colombia and spent 12 years living in Biggie’s native Brooklyn. He has also painted other major figures from the Hip Hop world, including a portrait of Tupac Shakur which was on display alongside Biggie at the Rockwell. TMZ reported that Diddy didn’t show any interest in the Pac portrait.
