Before Beanie Sigel unleashed his “I’m Coming” Meek Mill diss track, the Philadelphia legend appeared in a BET Cypher with his fellow State Property MCs at this year’s Hip Hop Awards. In his verse, Beans left his beef with Meek Mill at the door, but that didn’t stop the MMG rapper from stoking the flames a little bit.

Meek Mill took to Instagram to take credit for giving BET the idea to give Philly some love at the show and says that Beanie reaped the rewards of his work.

“BY THE WAY…… I’m the one who pitched a philly cypher and getting philly more involved with @bet,” he says in a post. “Alley ooping a n#%ga that’s throwing shade but still catching blessings!”

Sigel jumped on Meek Mill’s “OOOUUU” diss track directed toward The Game, but the two had a fallout after the icon said he helped write Meek’s and Omelly’s bars for the song.
