Suge Knight’s alleged past intimidation of witnesses has led to a judge in his murder case refusing to reveal the identities of witnesses to his lawyers.
Lawyers for the former Death Row Records CEO had hoped that they would be able to interview informants and witnesses to help build their case, but Knight’s past intimidation tactics will now make that close to impossible.
According to Billboard.com, Judge Ronald Coen made the decision to block the identity of witnesses, last Friday (July 22) following a closed session with a prosecutor and detective.

Due to prosecutors’ requests, the identity of witnesses and informants, as well as their addresses will not be revealed to Knight’s lawyers at any time during the case.
Knight is currently awaiting trial for murder, following a hit-and-run collision last year that led to the death of Terry Carter. As a result of the incident, he faces one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, and two counts of hit-and-run.
Suge Knight has already spent nearly a year and a half in jail, and has pleaded not guilty to the charges, saying that he acted in self-defense during an attack.
