In his Reddit “Ask Me Anything” interview from May, Chance The Rapper listed one of his favorite things as Whirlyball, the pastime that blends bumper cars with basketball, lacrosse and hockey. Now it looks like his love affair with the sport is over.
In a series of tweets posted to his 1.76 million followers early on Saturday morning (July 2), the Chicago MC went in on the sports establishment and its new management, taking issue with its dress code, which he called “very inaccessible if you’re black or friends with black people.”
Crazy how I was just treated at @whirlyball Been coming here for awhile, this new management doesn't know how to treat customers.

Don't go to @WhirlyBall it's very inaccessible if you're black or friends with black people, they've clearly outlined in their dress code

Don't bother trying to speak with the MGMT @WhirlyBall the new armed security will make sure you can't, per managements request.

I thought for a sec that just the 1825 w Webster @WhirlyBall in Chicago felt this way but it's on the website. Sad end to a family place.

He also retweeted this screenshot of the Chicago establishment’s website, which details the dress code.
This @WhirlyBall Dress Code is OD. ? btw "flashy" is super ambiguous same for "improperly fitted". pic.twitter.com/iAjtBKxFrl

The dress code currently listed on the site seems to have removed or amended several of those stipulations, including the rule against “faded or flashy” clothing.

Either way, Chance and his crew have taken their talents elsewhere.
