In light of Nicki Minaj announcing her comedy show with ABC Family based on her childhood in Queens, New York, XXL created a list of “Rappers Who Starred in a Television Show.”

The site includes Childish Gambino who uses his government name, Donald Glover, for his acting career. The “3005” rapper made multiple appearances on 30 Rock over a six-year span. He starred as Troy Barnes on Community until last year.

LL Cool J is also listed for his work on In The House throughout the 1990s. He now stars on NCIS: Los Angeles. He has also appeared on Hawaii Five-O, 30 Rock and House M.D.

Will Smith makes the cut for starring in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, which dominated America’s airwaves for six seasons. It has been reported that the rapper-actor is producing a reboot of the series.

The article does not include TIP in the list. The Atlanta rapper recently signed an acting deal with Warner Bros. Television and has appeared on Entourage, Boss and House of Lies.
