Niko G4 has been making noise in the Los Angeles Hip Hop scene for the past few years and has caught the attention of some of the city’s current top artists.

Currently working on his new album Worth The Risk, the Westside L.A. rapper recently sat down with HipHopDX Senior Features Writer Ural Garrett and explained how his relationship with Dom Kennedy began.

“That’s really who discovered me, the whole OPM wave,” he said via a segment of today’s (September 16) DX Daily. “I did a showcase for my homie Polyester The Saint, he’s part of the whole OPM sound too. Dom was there and he seen me perform for the first time in 2012. After that he took me on the Yellow Album Tour. I was on the Yellow Album with Dom.”

Niko G4 also spoke about what he’s working on next and says possible collaborative projects with Dom and Jay 305 are in the works.

“It’s really what I’ve been working on for the last year. I’ve been working on other projects with other artists too,” he said.” I’ve got a few collaborative projects [in the works]… Me and my homie Jay 305 got a bunch of tracks, me and my homie Dom got a lot of tracks. It’s really about continuing to work and giving my fans the best work possible.”
