Atlanta, Georgia rapper Rich Homie Quan may be well-known for a slew of lively records, including “Type Of Way” and “Lifestyle,” but according to the musician, his next studio album will boast songs fans can hear his pain on.

Quan, who just released his If You Ever Think I Will Stop Going In Ask RR mixtape, first revealed that his album will be released this fall, and later added that he’s about 40 percent done with the project.

He then spoke on the types of records that will be featured on the album.

“The album will be dropping in the fall, yes yes,” Rich Homie Quan said during an interview with XXL magazine. “I’ve yet to come up with a name or title, but I’m about 40 percent done. But I’m going back to telling the story of Quan, so you can look forward to more songs like ‘Daddy,’ more painful, soulful songs. Just telling my story, telling you where I want to go, where I see myself going in the next couple of years. Telling all the fun I’m having, but you’ll definitely hear a lot of pain on it. A lot of pain.”

Quan was also one of a handful of artists struck by recent leaks. With over 2,000 songs he says people have yet to hear, the rapper says he wasn’t too concerned with the leaks.

“I have so many songs, most of the songs that have been leaked are already over a year old. I don’t know where they’re getting leaked from, I don’t know how people are getting them,” he said. “But I don’t really care because I have so much more. The average artist would be like, ‘Damn, that leaked? 100 songs just got leaked, what am I gonna do now?’ But I got like 2,000 more people still haven’t heard. It’s a leak—a lot of songs I don’t want to be leaked, I’m not sayin’ it’s cool—but it’s nothing I can do if I sit here and pout about it. That’s not the type of artist I am. I can just move forward and make better music. That’s what I try to do.”
