Drake’s second annual “Houston Appreciation Weekend” went off without a hitch this past weekend as the Toronto rapper helped coordinate a series of concerts and events to shine a light on the musical heritage of Texas’ biggest city. While the weekend’s festivities counted appearances from the likes of Houston mayor Annise Parker, Bun B, O’dell Beckham Jr., Ne-Yo, and more, at least one Houston native spoke out against Drake’s relationship with the city and its music scene.

Houston rapper and Sauce Twinz member Sauce Walka lashed out at Drake on Instagram over the weekend for failing to truly support Houston’s music scene and instead putting on a “family fun day.”

“Nigga come down, nigga using our culture for lyrical content and ain’t given’ shit back but a family fun day and some money to some hoes he tricking on in the clubs,” Sauce Walka says in a video reuploaded by Baller Alert. Fucking idiot. This bitch-ass nigga made music with artists from everywhere but Houston.”

Drake appears to have responded to the video with a series of sleeping emojis.

Sauce Walka fired off another video in which he reiterated the sentiment of the first, claiming Drake’s work with Bun B doesn’t count as a Houston collaboration given the UGK member’s hailing from Port Arthur, Texas.

The tift comes not long after Drake was pictured alongside the Sauce Twinz in an Instagram post that sparked rumors that Drake might appear on the duo’s local hit “2 Legitted 2 Quitted.”
