Kendrick Lamar filmed the video for his To Pimp A Butterfly song “Alright” in Oakland, California this weekend, according to social media posts.

The TDE rapper shot the clip for his “King Kunta” video in the hometown of Compton, California.

In addition to his forthcoming “Alright” video, the California rapper appears on the cover of the June 2015 issue of Ebony magazine

“This is Ebony’s 70th anniversary [in publishing],” Lamar says, according to The Boombox. “I feel honored, I feel privileged to be part of it. I’m one of a few rap artists to actually grace the cover.”
