Battle Axe Records has signed Demrick to its roster, the imprint is announcing exclusively through HipHopDX.

“I’m honored to be one of the label’s first signing and to be a part of Battle Axe Records,” Demrick says of the Madchild-run imprint in an exclusive statement to HipHopDX. “Madchild and the team at Battle Axe understand my vision and where I’m going as an artist. They care about artist development and they are building a movement of like-minded Hip Hop heads across the globe.”

Madchild says that he has been following Demrick, who used to record as Young De and who is a member of the group Serial Killers with Xzibit and B Real, for several years.

“He’s putting out quality music that pays respect to the culture of Hip Hop,” Madchild says in an exclusive statement to HipHopDX. “We’re proud to put out his new album Losing Focus and to help him build the next faze of his career. We have a very clear vision for what we want Battle Axe Records to be. We want fans to see the Battle Axe logo on an album and know that it represents a quality Hip Hop album full of fierce lyricism and Demrick is exactly the type of artist. We want to be a brand that the fans can trust to deliver the goods and Demrick’s album does that and more.”

Demrick is slated to release his Losing Focus album in early 2015. The effort is slated to feature guest appearances by Dizzy Wright, Logic, as well as Serial Killers members Xzibit and B Real.

“I’ve been lucky enough to hear the album,” Madchild says. “It’s fuckin’ crazy. Can’t wait to you get it. Can’t wait for you to hear this album. It’s fuckin’ bananas. The videos are sick. Losing Focus is the name of the record coming out on Battle Axe Records 2015.
