Halle Bailey Shuts Down DDG Breakup Rumors Despite Instagram Unfollowing

Halle Bailey and DDG sparked rumors of a potential breakup over the past week that have now been debunked.

On Wednesday (April 17), soon after the chatter began spreading online, TMZ confirmed that the gossip was unfounded after all.

“The singer’s rep tells us Halle and DDG are still together and that all the reports they’ve split are straight-up false — point blank,” the outlet shared.

“The reason this even had to be addressed is because folks were running rampant with rumors that they’d thrown in the towel recently.”

Eagle-eyed sleuths noticed the pair stopped following one another on Instagram some time last week. Halle was also spotted sans DDG at Coachella supporting big sis Chloe Bailey.

The speculation arrived just weeks after the two celebrated Halle’s birthday together, with DDG surprising her with a diamond-encrusted Rolex watch before they went on vacation with their newborn son, Halo.

The pair have dodged breakup rumors in the past and may possibly have split and gotten back together more than once. Last year, the rapper’s ex Rubi Rose leaked a DM showing him asking if she was in Los Angeles despite him being with Halle at the time.

“U hitting me the day y’all argue is so u lol,” the Kentucky native wrote, to which he replied: “lol u right, lemme go heal first.”

“This is why I’m single,” she added in her caption.

The leaked message was in response to fans noticing Bailey donning the same T-shirt Rose had previously worn while she and the rapper were briefly together back in 2020. The “On Top” hitmaker confirmed the shirt was indeed hers and called her former flame a “weirdo.”

“Having ur bitch where my clothes is crazy lol,” she wrote on Twitter. “I like Halle, Ddg a weirdo tho fasho.”

The 26-year-old didn’t take too kindly to the shade and rebuked her claims on his socials soon after.

“Ik it looks bad but it ain’t what it seem stg,” he wrote in a since-deleted tweet. “that bitch just evil.”

He added: “Everything is good internally. This whole situation was foreshadowed. I know everybody want me to be the bad guy but I’m really not…CGI .. don’t believe that DEMON!! I REBUKE IN THE NAME OF JESUS!!!!”

In a recent interview, he confirmed he sent the DM while he and Halle were on rocky terms, but that he did so in front of her just to make her mad since he apparently had no intentions of linking up with his ex.
