Boosie Badazz has escalated his online spat with Kanye West, claiming that the latter is struggling to come to terms with the truth.
The Louisiana rapper took to Instagram Live on Monday (March 18) and suggested that people are too quick to judge him.
“You know how many rappers I raised out there bro, who don’t give me my flowers?” he began. “Everybody quiet, bruh. They don’t wanna be on my side and be looked at like, ‘You supporting Boosie.’ But they’ll give Kanye his flowers, people like that.”

“Ain’t nobody raise more motherfuckers than me, bro. Not just street n-ggas, athletes, all kinds […] Can’t nobody fuck with me making real music … When you raise somebody, that’s different.”
He then talked about how very few people are on his side because he speaks the truth, adding: “When you real these days, people hate on you. People don’t like when you real.”
The drama began earlier this month when Ye claimed that he has influenced every genre of music from the past two decades. Boosie disagreed with the notion, though the Yeezy boss didn’t seem too interested in a back-and-forth with his peer.
In a post to his Instagram Story that was deleted before it expired, Kanye subtly shaded the Baton Rouge native and distanced himself from “whatever genre” his music is considered.
“I just saw that Wipe Me Down was made in 2007. I take no responsibility for whatever that genre would be called,” he wrote.
The initial comments that triggered the contention are from an interview Kanye and Ty Dolla $ign did with Big Boy’s Neighborhood that was published days prior.

During the chat, the Chicago native made a bold claim and said: “I done invented every style of music for the past 20 years […] I created The Weeknd‘s genre, Trav[is Scott], Drake — I’ma go ahead and say with all love Future and [Young] Thug also because the autotune album 808s [& Heartbreak].”
Soon after the above quote began making the rounds online, Boosie Badazz disputed it on social media.

“NOT ALL GENRES NOT EVERY STYLE,” he captioned an Instagram post of the excerpt’s screenshot. “NOT BOOSIE MUSIC !! YOU CANT RELATE TO NOTHING I RAP ABOUT [O]R YOUR MUSIC [exclamation-mark emoji].
“NOBODY LISTENS TO KANYE N THE PROJECTS [O]R THE TRENCHES [two exclamation-mark emoji] IM,A GON HEAD N SAY IT ‘ MY PEOPLE DO NOT RELATE TO YOU’.”
