6ix9ine has reportedly been detained in the Dominican Republic until the case involving his alleged assault on a producer comes to an end — and, according to a renowned attorney in the area, the “GUMMO” rapper couldn’t even leave on a private jet when he wanted to.

According to immigration attorney Felix Portes, the rapper (real name Daniel Hernandez) tried to depart the Dominican Republic on a private jet not too long ago. However, when he got on the plane, he triggered what was known as an “alerta migratoria,” or “immigration alert.”

Portes further claimed that this immigration alert forced the grounding of his plane, and 6ix9ine is now allegedly on the lam in the Caribbean country. A warrant has also been issued for his arrest for attempting to flee.

Late last month, 6ix9ine was freed from jail on $500,000 bail. According to Antena Noticias 7the controversial rapper was released, but there is still a restraining order in place meaning he has to stay away from the two men he allegedly assaulted. He also has to take anger management classes.

After he left jail, he took to his Instagram Stories to share a message with his fans in Spanish.

Translated into English, 6ix9ine said: “First of all, I want to thank God, Dominican Republic, thank you. I love you. Thank you for the support. Thank you for the love that the people of La Vega. You are there tomorrow morning. The firm promises are very small. There is a lot of you.”

The message continued: “The procedure to execute freedom has already begun, God. Through him, I will be free tomorrow, so thank you for everything. Thank you for the support. Thank you, I love you. Thank you for the support. Thank you, thank you, thank you.”

The Brooklyn rapper (real name Daniel Hernandez) was arrested in October for allegedly assaulting two men over an incident involving his girlfriend.

Footage that surfaced online allegedly showed 6ix9ine and his crew pulling to a producer’s home in the D.R. before fleeing the scene minutes later. The alleged altercation itself wasn’t captured on camera, but police issued a warrant for the rapper’s arrest for “blows and injuries, and threats.”

It is not clear when the trial will take place.
