50 Cent and Jelly Roll have been announced as headliners of the all-star lineup for the 2024 RodeoHouston, scheduled to kick off next month.

Billboard is reporting that the G-Unit head honcho and the hot Rap-to-Country star will join the Jonas Brothers, Lainey Wilson, Eric Church, Los Tigres del Norte, and Blake Shelton for the annual event, which opens on February 27 at the NRG Stadium.

Even though 50 Cent will be performing for the first time on the RodeoHouston stage this year, he’s always managed to make headlines for his appearances as a spectator and participant in the rodeo, especially as the Queens native calls Houston home these days.

Back in 2022, 50 trekked to Houston to participate in the annual Uncorked! International Wine Competition at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. The competition usually brings out a bunch of wealthy people looking to get their hands on expensive wines from 17 countries, including France, Spain, Italy, Israel, Peru, Argentina, and South Africa. Texas itself had 480 entries from different wineries across the state.

The Power executive producer and his company, Sire Spirits, bought the Top Texas Wine — Hye Meadow Winery Boooom Red, Texas High Plains, 2017 — for $125,000. According to 50, he was more than ecstatic to have finally made a winning bid, given his rocky history at the event.

“So i finally won a bid at the wine auction, your a nobody till you win a bid at the wine auction,” 50 wrote in the caption of his post putting in the bid. “Now i have bottle of wine that cost more then a Rolls Royce. i just got excited. @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi.”

It was such a crazy purchase that 50 poked fun at the organizers who ran the auction. The G-Unit CEO shared an Instagram post of himself speaking with two gentlemen at the auction, which 50 jokingly said happened only to make sure he paid for the wine.

“So these where the 2 guys they sent over to make sure i paid for it,” 50 wrote. “I was like what’s wrong with you guys, i can’t change my mind. LOL @bransoncognac @lecheminduroi @bottlerover.”
