    1. very good editing and like always good rapper insight by jay-z. alot of artists can’t express themselves like that and thats why b whack. alot pplz favorite artists right now, that bubble gum music they get from them, they won’t get good shit like this. fade to black, backstage…

    2. Reminds me of Michael Jordan’s second comeback. When he tried to school all the young ball players. Almost Bill Cosby-like.

Jay-Z has the best career – hands down of anyone in HipHop.

      # 1 for the the career and longevity.

He did it better than anyone. If only he would take more political positions like Tupac…he doesn’t have to do it the same way as ‘Pac and he doesn’t have to prove anything because his pockets are safe for life.

But, as impressed with Jay-Z as I am – the brother needs to do more with his wealth and ability to have attention. It’s not his fault entirely – because the people have to hold him to a real standard. Take more public positions on police brutality, brothers being locked up, unemployment in the hood.

I’m a Jay-Z fan. But I respect Dead Prez and Immortal Technique more because they speak to the everyday cat in the hood and our realities. Jay-Z has more resources than them and could really make a dent in this bullshyt if he was held to try harder. Absolut Vodka don’t give a shyt about the hood – so they’ll pay him as a spokesman with this documentary. But Jay can flip some of that cash to some real places where it could mean something. There are cats in Brooklyn that follow the police with video cameras to prevent police brutality. Come on Jay drop them some $ for looking out for Bed-Stuy and Central Brooklyn from the police.

      1. Excellent points my dude. Although, I think if Jay were to be more like Dead Prez or Immortal Technique, he wouldn’t have his catalog which will be celebrated for decades to come, his wealth, or his resources unfortunately. Consequently, there would be no Jay-Z. I’ve always felt like the issues in our communities in this day and age are self inflicted wounds. If you pushing weight, is the community supposed to rally to your cause because the police beat you down? Say it was brutality? The circumstances are always extenuating of course, I’m just saying. Or is the best medicine just simply being a responsible citizen. Leading by example(parents, not athletes or musicians) and making sure your mistakes don’t get repeated by your seeds or anyone you have the opportunity to influence for that matter. I think looking for a celebrity to help fix matters in the home or community puts us all at an extreme disadvantage because in most cases you don’t need money, just common sense. And as we all know, common sense is not common.

    3. Ill photography. Dope watching him rehearse with the band. Turns out you need all 88 keys to play Empire State of Mind. Sucks cause I only have 61. But check this vid of me playing his best song, Dead Presidents on piano while rapping my own verse. I do Feelin It, Changes by Pac and more. Watch by clicking my name

    4. Sun_God7 and Up North You two took all the words out of my mouth. I like that cause you both made some great points!

    5. its amazin to c this dude have all this money fam and glory and hes still humble. how can u not like dude. no homo. its great to see wat hes doin. and its great to c nas try to get his diploma. these are the definition of real niggaz.

    6. I love OUR CULTURE!!!! Hip hop is so much more than music its OUR everyday life! The fact that OUR culture is so prolific in the world is because it touches on the pain and the pleasures of the common man!. Dont get me wrong I understand we have alot of growing up to do within our culture but everywhere you look some form of hip hop is in your face. The reason im saying OUR culture is because it is just that OURS!! Not black, not white, or any other color but the people within this culture, the ones that live, eat, sleep, and breathe this culture… Thats who it belongs to US!!!

(“Hip Hop = Our culture, Our music, Our LIFE!!!)
