The first single "Supreme" off Zion I's "The Masters of Ceremony" EP gets the visual treatment.

Zumbi and AmpLive drop off their second video from their recently released Masters of Ceremony LP now on iTunes. Find out what else Zion I has in store for their fans this year in this Q&A with HipHopDX.

Name: Zion I

From: Oakland, CA

Inspired by? Struggle, Family, God, Trees

Musical Influences? Rakim, Nas, Outkast, Bob Marley, John Coltrane..It goes on and on

Mission In Hip Hop? Spread Love and Light, bring our people to a higher frequency and vibration

What inspired this song/video? How Oakland responded to the murders of Oscar Grant and Trayvon Martin with outrage and protest. The song was written on a night when I could hear the helicopters buzzing right on top of my studio. The video is a collection of dope artists coming together to show how we combat oppression thru the art.

What are you currently working on? The 2nd EP in a series of 3 entitled "Libations". It drops 4/20. Get it @ soundcloud.com/therealZionI

What's next? We're going to finish up these next two EPs, then drop a full length in the Fall and hit the road. I'm also working on a wireless speaker collab amongst several other things. Stay up...
