In 1993 Snoop Doggy Dogg made a west-coast house-party anthem when he released oeGin and Juice.

When the video for Gin and Juice released, a 19-year-old Snoop Doggy Dogg - with the help of Dr. Dre - ushered in a new era of West Coast Hip Hop. Everything about the video was OG, from Snoop riding on the handlebars of a beach-cruiser, getting his braids done on the front porch to the game of dominos being played in the middle of a house-party. The Dr. Dre production features a sample of the drum line from George McCrae's I Get Lifted, and the hook gathers inspiration from Slave's Watching You.

The video featured cameos from Dr. Dre, Daz Dillinger, Warren G, Nate Dogg and a six-year-old Bow Wow playing the role of Snoop Dogg's little brother. "Gin and Juice" was the second single released from Snoop's debut album Doggystyle and proved that the Dogg had a longcareer ahead of him. Sure enough, more than twenty years later, Uncle Snoop has released a new mixtape That's My Work 3 and shows no signs of slowing down. So pour up some Seagrams and some Tanqueray and enjoy this funky West Coast throwback.
