Name: Prez P

From: Miami-Dade county 305. North Miami to be exact.

Inspired by: I get a lot of inspiration from things like the Haitian culture and the Miami lifestyle. I also get a lot of inspiration from my peers/members of my team and family. Little things they go through motivate me to make certain styles of music. My music is so laid back because I have a nonchalant personality, and I hate stress. I try to match up my musical sound to match my everyday life, similar to a movie soundtrack.

Some musical influences of mine include Bob Marley, Tupac, Trick Daddy, Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Curren$y and Wiz Khalifa. Those are some of my favorite artists to listen to, so a lot of them rubbed onto my style.

Mission in Hip Hop: My mission is to bring my Miami style to the forefront in a way it has never been displayed before. There’s so much culture and diversity down here that the rest of the world doesn’t get to see it because people have other preconceived notions of Miami music. A lot of talented artists don’t get the proper spot light they deserve. I’m out to change that.

What are you working on currently? Right now I’m shooting videos from my last project The Ambiance. I’m blessed to have UnkleLuc and MarcMyWords, two very talented video directors on my team. I have a few shows coming up to start the year off, I’m also promoting  the last projects The Ambiance and DreamSucceeDie (my first solo project – cop that off iTunes) as much as I can, and getting ready to hit some festivals like SXSW. At the same time I’m currently working on my next album entitled Prezidential. Never stop working.

When can we expect that new project from you? I’m contemplating Springtime or early Summertime, I’m playing it by ear. I’m constantly in the studio making joints, and every song I make isn’t going on Prezidential, so you can expect some singles and features really soon.
