isata88 is fucKing retarded. one of my yg's must've been selling u leak 'cause your brain is twitching.

this is was classic hiphop. str8 spitting. that boom bap. that real authentic NY swag. nothing contrived here. thorough emcee shit. i applaud LL with what he's attempting to do with this last album. its like all of the veteran rappers are coming hard as shit right now. putting up some creative and solid music. stuff that you can listen to a few months later and still feel it. kudos. these newer niggas with all their so called "movements" need to take note.

  • Warkim:

CHILLLLLLL...EAT EM UP L. Yo LL came wit it on this track and he's daring ppl to battle him!! That's not gonna happen though...these rappers aint stupid!! Old school to new school and he still keep it grimmey!!

    DON'T SLEEP!!

  • Durrty Sof Dubb:

Who ever said LL Cool J. will rip Jay'z apart.....please go jump in a lake with 45 pound weights. and why is a so called living legend tryna battle a 17 year old? if you a legend you wouldn't have to tell people. i mean really eminem the best rapper alive and you never heard him say it.

  • isata88:

I'm sorry fam but i'm an old head listening to this song and it's disgusting. One thing I do appreciate about Jay-Z. He seems repelled with his old flows. Even with his most awkward cadences, at least he's trying something different. A real king of the flows.

  • isata88:

nope, it's retire time with exit 13. this concept is so old school it chimes with the Beastie Boys. He should be vibing with them for ideas. Will Smith writes better than this. LL Cool J only grows with love songs. Remember that song, "I shot ya" back with Keith Murray, Foxy Brown, and Fat Joe? LL Cool J was the only dude who rhymed to the beat with least bars. Listen to that joint! He sounded jaded then! Honestly, he needs to read more to write better! Still using simple ass metaphors, trite phrases (pressing rewind, you run around..., battle anyone, are you serious?) and similes in his rhymes! Damn. I was hardcore LL fan, and I can tell when he recycles his shit. "tower full of power"man, sounds like he just dusted some rhymes left in the attic since the "Radio" days without the references of mythological symbols.

I don't blame him to an extent. Couldn't hard to rhyme without mentioning guns and drugs even for today's rappers.

  • RAZAH CUTS:

    this was actually okay man....

  • prezzzz:

LL actually stimulated a dead organisim....for those 3 minutes i felt hip hop twitch.....so big ups to LL and to caz and fuck you to all you bubble gum rap representers.....soulja boi got famouse off a track that he stole the beat for.....

  • bahamas:

  • CJG12:

LL is back and better than ever and forever classic. keep doin yo thang LL

  • Mastadon:

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaang. LL just destroyed it plain and simple

  • The Burier:

To The Hater it may concern,

You hear that? That sound is called classic.

To go a little further than to say the song is hot. The song is actually a clinic on what hiphop music is supposed to sound like.

If you listen you can hear the live tamboreens come into the track. The synth that runs throughout is completely ill and the base thump phyisically reaches out and grabs your head to force it to nod.

As far as the versus. The dopest, fiercest flow we've heard from L since Murdergram. Its like Caz comes in just to keep you from crumbling under the pure growl in the bars. Not to say Caz doesn't deliver exactly what we needed, which is a link back to the roots. He does very well.

There's nothing wrong with liking the joint. Hot is hot.

  • AkronACE:

This is what im talking about LL going in and from what people tell me the singles on the albums are for the ladies/clubs and the album cuts are for the hip-hop heads and are more hardcore. LL is on point with his bars on this shit.

  • Rap Nerd:

Where the fuck was THIS dude at?!?!? Farmers!!!

  • Noize:

This has real good old school vibe... I'm really feelin this. LL still got some fire left in verses..this is taking me back to his BAD days. Shit is fresh get it uncle L

  • 88andup:

This joint is nice but exit 13 is a straight wash. Oh God, why did his album have to leak...

  • ANDRE4000:

I dont think this is a shot at Soulja Boy...LL even said he aint gonna hate on the youngin for doing his thang. But this track is for all you haters that dont think LL can still spit.

  • WOW WOW WOW:

THIS IS CLASSIC SHIT AND AN INDIRECT SHOT AT SOULJA BOY!!! SOULJA BOY FALL THE FUCK BACK!!!!

  • texazhusla24:

SHIT THIS NIGGA IS A OL SKOOL VET TO ALL THESE OTHA RAPPERS

  • LLEWELLYN YOUNG:

    I'M L.L. Llewellyn and L.L.COOL J , IS THE MAN!

  • The Burier:

I've come to take Hiphopdx for a LL/50 hate site so I'm a little suprised at how many heads are willing to give it up for a hot record from L.

Great to hear the growl back in the records. and Caz. Come one now.

    pure heat!
