Shyne Update: Rapper Will be Deported to Belize
After speaking with Shyne recently, radio personality Angie Martinez went on the air with information regarding their conversation. In a radio interview, she spoke with Misss Info regarding the rapper's status [click here].
"They're holding him to be deported. He's in a fight right now," she noted, adding that he is getting help from Harvard Professor Charles Ogletree. "They are hoping to get a pardon from the governor."
"As of now, he's going to have to go back to Belize," she noted, adding that the "fight" is to come back to the United States soon after the deportation.
Martinez also added that letters from fans in support of Shyne can go to Governor Patterson [click here].
"I do know that even one of the victims in the case has spoken up to allow him to stay here because he's been very cooperative in the civil suit," she added.
Martinez went on to note that Shyne's strength will get him through this.
"Shyne is one of the strongest people I know and he’s handling this situation just as I’d expect him to. It must be frustrating for all of his friends and family; he served his time, and keeps getting all these different dates and conflicting information. But he’s a soldier, he’s dealing with it."
As more details emerge, DX will keep you posted.
