This weekend, we reported on David Banner [click to read] and his rally to stop violence in Chicago [click here]. The event was set to take place today, Tuesday October 20, however, the rally has now been postponed to November.

According to a press release, this was due to safety concerns. They expected more than 500 people to attend the rally but after the "overwhelming response," they decided it would be best to move the date. Banner spoke on this briefly.

"This is a movement not to condemn kids or any organizations but the safety of the kids is my biggest concern, we want to stay on task and continue what we've started, we want everyone to have the opportunity to contribute," he said via statement.

They also hope to get more support for their cause.

"Other issues that involved certain people within community organizations and activists sparked major open dialogue among the participating Chicago celebrities and artists including Twista, Malik Yusef, Naledge, Tiffany of Bad Girls Club, J-Niice (B-96), to go back to the drawing board and gather a greater support through out the City of Chicago, major corporations and as well as major community influences," the release stated.

The event was also going to serve as the backdrop for the new version of "Something is Wrong," [click to listen] a Banner track that now features verses from Naledge [click here], Twista [click here] and Rhymefest [click here].
