Apathy, Ryu & Scoop Deville Form Get Busy Committee
Both Apathy and Styles Of Beyond suffered the slings of major label shelf-lives. The Connecticut emcee had a lengthy, unfruitful tenure at Atlantic Records while the once Divine Styler-mentored group was among many underground Rap acts signed in the mid '00s to Warner Brothers.
Last month, Apathy explained to DX the significance of this side project: "Get Busy Committee might be a real big deal cause of some of the moves weve made, said Ap. Like, my album is underground. Demigodz is super underground. But Get Busy Committee is gonna be something really fuckin crazy. We have Topspin Media behind us. We have [Mike] Shinoda behind us. We got the dudes at MySpace Music heavily behind us. So Get Busy Committee is gonna be something else...[And] if you dont like it, I dont know what to tell you, added Ap. I dont really give a fuck."
The album is 100% self-released. In addition to CD and digital formats, Uzi Does It will also limited release on USB drives shaped like automatic machine guns.
