Shyne was meant to be released from prison on Tuesday, as HipHopDX reported [click here]. However, the rapper’s release didn’t pan out the way it was scheduled to. Instead, Shyne is still in custody and awaiting further details.

A rep spoke about the situation to MTV, Wednesday October 7, 2009.

Shyne is currently in federal custody while his future immigration status is determined,” the rep said.

Oscar Michelen, Shyne’s lawyer spoke to MTV about the case. When asked about Shyne being deported by the end of the week, he didn’t confirm or deny the rumors.

“[I] don’t know where that came from or if it’s true,” he said.
